The protection of your personal data is important to me. This Privacy Policy explains the processing of data in the DisDiary app and on the website.
3. Data Processing in the App DisDiary
3.1 Storage & Access
The data is stored on your device. There is no synchronization, no server communication, and no external storage. Only you have access to your data. When using an Apple Watch, data can be entered directly on the Watch. It is transferred to your iPhone for storage and not permanently stored on the Watch. Conversely, certain data from your iPhone may be displayed on the Watch, but not permanently stored there, except for the selected accent color. You can delete all stored data at any time within the app. This can be done through the app itself or by uninstalling it. If iCloud Backup is enabled on your device, your app data may be included in the backup process managed by Apple. This process is entirely managed by Apple and can be configured in the device settings. I have no access to these backups and no control over where they are stored.
3.2 Camera & Photos
When you use the camera in the app to take photos, they are stored local on your device. There is no transmission of the photos to us or to any third parties. If iCloud Backup is enabled on your device, these photos may be included in the backup process managed by Apple. This process is entirely managed by Apple and can be configured in the device settings. I have no access to these backups and no control over where they are stored.
3.3 In-App Purchases
If you make an in-app purchase through the App Store, the payment is processed by Apple. In this case, Apple’s Privacy Policy applies in addition.

7. Data Processing on the Website
7.1 Hosting & Data Processing Agreement
The website is hosted by the external service provider 1&1 IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. We have a data processing agreement (DPA) with IONOS. According to this agreement, IONOS processes your data exclusively on my behalf and under my instructions. 7.2 Server Log Data WebAnalytics
When accessing the website, the following data from visitors are automatically collected and anonymized directly at the time of collection:
- Referrer (previously visited website)
- Requested page or file
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- Device type
- Time of access
- IP address in anonymized form
These data are used exclusively for technical purposes and statistical analysis and do not allow any conclusions about your person. Additionally, processing is carried out by IONOS SE via web analytics, where data are collected solely for statistical evaluation and technical optimization of the website. No data are shared with third parties. The legal basis is a legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR in ensuring a secure and functioning operation of the website, and, where applicable, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR in the context of initiating a contractual relationship.
8. Contact & Rights
8.1 Contact
If you contact me, the personal data you provide (e.g., name, email address, content of your message) will be processed for the purpose of handling your inquiry. Please do not send sensitive personal data, such as health information. The legal basis for processing is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your request is related to the use of the app. Otherwise, processing is based on my legitimate interest in handling your request pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Your data will only be stored as long as necessary to process your request, unless statutory retention obligations require a longer storage period.
